SAID freshman concert posterProject summary »« Back to gallery Student project Documentation Lab II Winter 2006 |
My poster for the School of Architecture and Interior Design first-year concert is designed to be attention-grabbing. The school's walls are constantly plastered with interesting art and design, so the poster needed to stand out. I sketched out the basic outline of the Aronoff Center, DAAP's distinctive building and the location of the concert, in charcoal. I then used a bright orange colored pencil to trace the typography onto vellum. When the vellum is overlaid onto the background, the colored pencil is both reflective and translucent. The end result is distinctive and conveys its information very clearly. |
